Hi, I’m Sam! 👋 It’s been quite a long time since I’ve properly introduced myself, and since we’re still at the start of a new year this seemed like a perfect time!  Here are some things about me you may already know, and some you probably do not!

⚡️I live in Tacoma, WA with my twin second graders and all our pets. We moved last year to be closer to family, and it’s been so lovely to see them and be a bigger part of their lives. 

💖 I’ve lived all over the country! I grew up in NH, went to college in Boston, lived in NYC for 8 years, lived in NorCal (Bay Area) for 6 years, lived in San Diego for 3 years, and most recently lived in Austin, TX for 3 years! The plan is for WA to be my forever home but if I’ve learned anything in my life it’s that plans can change 😂

⚡️I’ve been a reader for as long as I could read. One of my fondest childhood Christmas memories was the year I got my own bookshelf for my room, which I promptly filled with Babysitter’s Club and Anne of Green Gables books. 

💖 My career has also taken the long route to where I’m at today. I spent 11 years in corporate technology sales & business development before brief stints in direct sales (a terrible idea) and as a wedding planner (timing wasn’t right.) I was a sahm for the first 5.5 years of the twins’ lives and then got into editing as I was going through a divorce and needed to really decide what I wanted to be when I grew up. Other than being a mom, it’s the job I feel most like I was always meant to do.
